Our facilities are flexible to accommodate a variety of horseback riding disciplines.
The riding disciplines best suited to our facilities are English/Western pleasure, trail riding, and Hunter/Jumper.
Our indoor riding arena is 60x120 feet. Although not heated, we treat our soft footing during the winter to keep the footing from freezing, and our boarders happily ride in our indoor year-round. We provide jump standards and poles, and find that a course with five jumps or fewer works best. We do not have an outdoor arena, but have an exercise loop that borders the paddocks. This loop is approximately 1/3 mile and is great for the days when you want to take your horse out for a hack!
Our property borders that of the Lancaster Town Forest. Either via Brockelman Road or a shortcut through the back of our property, in minutes you will be at this 125-acre conservation land. These trails are shady in the spring and summer, colorful in the fall, and peacefully blanketed after a freshly-fallen winter snow. Enjoy them on your own or with a fellow boarder!
Built in the 1980s, our barn has a very open and airy layout. The front area, once a 60x60 riding arena, has been converted into a storage and tacking area to keep our aisle clear. Our tack room is heated to protect your tack in the winter (although our barn kitties will tell you it's simply for them to take cozy naps!).
We have 7 10x12 matted box stalls, and 2 10x10 matted box stalls (which work best for ponies). 7 of these stalls have an attached run-out, allowing your horse to move more freely when indoors. Immediately behind the barn are two 40x40 grass holding pens for temporary turnout - as your horse dries after a bath, awaits a farrier, and so forth.
